Introduction

This multi-tabbed spreadsheet is a template that can be used to gather unit based pricing inputs from suppliers for IT ADM outsourcing situations.  The template facilitates evaluation and comparison of multiple suppliers, identifies impact of volumes on pricing, assesses supplier flexibility and determines overall cost, and complexity of managing the relationship.

Scope

The scope of this pricing template is restricted to IT ADM sourcing situations only. This template endeavors to:

• Facilitate evaluation and comparison of multiple supplier solutions
• Identify impact of volume variations on pricing design
• Assess supplier flexibility and assist where appropriate to enable the supplier to offer the best price
• Determine overall cost and complexity of managing the relationship

Contents

The pricing template for IT ADM allows buyer vendor management teams to gather unit based pricing inputs from suppliers for IT ADM outsourcing situations. This multi-tabbed spreadsheet comprises instructions, assumptions, maintenance pricing, development pricing, termination costs, and termination assistance.

The MS Excel-based tool has one worksheet for each of the sections mentioned above. The Maintenance pricing tab helps in capturing maintenance/minor enhancement and transition cost along with resource mix (based on geographic spread and skill level) on a monthly basis.

The Development rate table tab captures billing rates based on location (onsite/offshore) and skill level. Volume discounting information can also be captured in this tab on a yearly basis. Termination fees tab captures termination charges (for convenience and change or control at the company) for each month. The Termination assistance tab caters to situation where contract has expired and is not being renewed.
